One of my dreams when I took over the presidency of Malta Rowing Association was to see Malta in a main FISA rowing event. This dream became a reality today when Michael Borg, affiliated with Siggiewi Rowing Club, went on a C1X in the 2017 World Rowing Coastal Championships in Thonon, France; and qualified to the B Finals which will be held tomorrow. This competition is of the highest level and shows that there is potential in Maltese rowing, especially if one trains hard; as Dr Borg was doing in these last few months in his spare time whilst doing his postdoc in Denmark. All the very best Dr Borg! We are proud of your rowing achievements.
