Siġġiewi Rowing Club (SRC) is a dynamic, community-driven sports organisation dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities through the transformative power of rowing. SRC is home to various high-level male and female athletes and para-athletes who compete at both national and international level across a broad spectrum of rowing disciplines. These include traditional fixed-seat rowing, classic rowing (flat-water rowing), indoor rowing, and coastal rowing (beach sprints and endurance races), reflecting the club’s versatility and commitment to excellence across all forms of the sport. At its core, SRC fosters a safe and inclusive environment, both physically and emotionally, where members can enhance their physical and mental well-being, develop essential life skills, and build meaningful social connections.
What sets SRC apart is its genuinely diverse and integrated community. The club actively supports para-athletes, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and those pursuing rehabilitation, personal growth, or a healthier lifestyle. Our land-based training sessions (hosted at the Dar tal-Providenza gym in Siġġiewi), are fully inclusive by design, bringing together high-performance athletes and athletes with disabilities in a shared training space that promotes mutual respect, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging.
SRC adopts an evidence-informed approach to athlete development, with a focus on structured coaching, mentorship, and technical progression. Rather than prioritising short-term results, the club places long-term development, resilience, and holistic well-being at the centre of its philosophy. As the Club continues to grow, it remains committed to positioning itself as a leading model for inclusive sport, where community, equity, and well-being are not just values, but the foundation of everything it does.
